Jack's Books was opened in 2024 by Colton & Jamie Cauthen and is a family owned, independent bookstore located in historic downtown Florence, SC.
We love Florence and are thrilled to be able to minister to the community through Jack's Books while also attracting out-of-town visitors to enjoy our wonderful downtown!

Where are You Located?
We are located in historic downtown Florence, SC at 152 South Dargan Street right next to Wholly Smokin and LuLa's Coffee.
What are your hours?
Our standard hours are Monday - Saturday from 10:30am - 6:00pm. To make sure we don't have different hours due to a holiday, weather event, etc., be sure to check Google and/or Apple Maps where we always keep our hours accurately posted.
Do you accept donations?
Yes! We are very grateful for the donations that come in from our community. If you have fewer than 10 books, you can drop them by the store any time during business hours. If you are looking to donate more than 10, please send us an email first (colton@shopjacksbooks.com) or reach out to us on any of our social media channels.
Do you carry new or used books?
We stock both new and used books! Our inventory hovers around a 50/50 blend. Whether you're looking for something hot off the press or an old gem, we've got you covered!
How can I find out if you have a specific book in stock?
You can reach out on our website using the contact form below, or message us on social media (Facebook or Instagram) or give us a call during operating hours (843-430-4145).
Do you carry any rare or special edition volumes?
Yes! We have special edition classics like Easton Press and Franklin Library, as well as a few first edition books and books signed by the author.
What if you don't have the book I'm looking for?
For books that are still in print, we can order them from the warehouse and typically have them in 3 to 5 business days. We can also send you a link where you can purchase the book through us online.
Do you sell audiobooks?
Basically, yes- but it's even better than that! We have a partnership with the premier non-Amazon audiobook company, Libro.FM. They have a massive selection, wonderfully designed mobile app, and all the Audible features you're used to (and then some). When you purchase books through our Libro.FM link or sign up for a monthly membership, part of the funds come directly to our store!
